Minister of State for Defence Bello Matawalle has pledged to mobilise 20 million votes for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the 2027 presidential election through his Tinubu Again Movement.
Matawalle made the pledge on Tuesday in Abuja after returning to Nigeria, where he was welcomed by APC supporters and members of his political movement.
The minister, who was named Deputy Director, Security and Intelligence I of the APC Presidential Campaign Council, said his campaign effort would focus on mobilising support across Nigeria’s 36 states and the FCT.
Matawalle said he believes Tinubu deserves another term because of what he described as the President’s efforts in youth employment, security and economic development over the past three years.
He said the Tinubu Again Movement was established to support the President’s Renewed Hope Agenda and pledged to do everything within his capacity to achieve the 20 million-vote target.
The movement’s National Coordinator, Auwal Abdullahi Aliyu, also expressed confidence in Tinubu’s re-election, saying supporters would continue working to strengthen the President’s campaign ahead of 2027.
