Founder of Folio Media Group and Publisher of Daily Times Nigeria, Fidelis Anosike, has pledged ₦100 million toward the completion of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, FCT Council multipurpose hall project.
Anosike made the pledge at the FCT NUJ Secretariat in Abuja as part of activities marking the centenary celebration of Daily Times Nigeria.
He described the 100-year milestone as a defining moment not only for Daily Times, but for the wider Nigerian journalism community.
According to him, Daily Times has survived major political transitions, economic challenges and rapid technological changes while remaining committed to truth, credibility and public accountability.
“Daily Times has been part of Nigeria’s story for 100 years. The institution helped shape public discourse, supported national development and gave voice to millions of Nigerians,” Anosike said.
FCT NUJ Chairperson, Grace Ike, described Daily Times as one of the foundational pillars of modern journalism in Nigeria, noting that its contribution to the nation’s political, economic and social development remains unforgettable.
She also thanked Anosike for the donation, saying the support would help complete the NUJ Congress hall project and strengthen journalism practice in the FCT.
