The residents of Imafon, Igushin and Ilado communities in Akure north LGA of Ondo state have protested over the increasing insecurity in the areas.
The residents said incessant attacks and killings have left at least two people dead and several others injured in recent days.
The protesters trooped out on Saturday in large numbers and barricaded the busy Shoprite intersection, which is a few metres from the governor’s office, bringing traffic to a standstill as they expressed outrage over the relentless violence that has thrown their communities into mourning.
