The Grand Adviser for FCDO-PACE, Lilian Okoli, has said that the 2025 Tax Reform Acts will strengthen taxpayers’ rights, transparency and accountability in Nigeria’s revenue administration.
Okoli disclosed this in her remarks at a civil society capacity-building programme on Taxpayer Grievance Redress Mechanisms (TGRM), supported by the Partnership for Agile Governance and Climate Engagement (PACE) and the International Budget Partnership (IBP), at Tahir Hotel, Dutse, Jigawa State.
She said the reforms represented one of the most significant changes to Nigeria’s tax administration in decades, particularly through the introduction of institutional mechanisms for taxpayers to seek timely resolution of complaints without immediately resorting to litigation.
