Seyi Tinubu, son of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has reacted to the defeat of celebrity businessman and socialite, Cubana Chief Priest, in the All Progressives Congress (APC) primary election for the House of Representatives seat in Imo State.

Cubana Chief Priest, whose real name is Pascal Okechukwu, contested for the APC ticket to represent the Orsu/Orlu/Oru East Federal Constituency but lost to the incumbent lawmaker, Chief Canice Nwachukwu, after reportedly polling 14 votes during the primary election.

Reacting to the outcome, Seyi Tinubu shared a message of encouragement via Instagram, urging the socialite not to be discouraged by the setback.

“Bro, sometimes by losing a battle, you find a new way to win the war. Keep your head up,” Seyi Tinubu reportedly wrote in the post later reposted by Cubana Chief Priest.

Cubana Chief Priest had earlier expressed disappointment over the result, stating that his only regret was trusting some political leaders within his constituency despite the support he claimed to have given them during his campaign.

The development has continued to generate reactions across social media, with supporters and critics weighing in on the entertainer’s first major attempt at elective politics.
