‘Record should be judged by facts’ — Alia’s aide tackles Ortom over poor performance claim

The Benue state government says the criticism of the administration of Hyacinth Alia, the governor, by Samuel Ortom, his predecessor, is a “political rhetoric” unsupported by evidence.

On Tuesday, Ortom accused Alia, his successor, of running the state on “lies, deceit and hypocrisy”.

He alleged that Alia has failed to effectively transform the state despite increased federal allocations following the removal of the petrol subsidy.
