Former Bayelsa State Governor Henry Seriake Dickson says the National Democratic Congress (NDC) is preparing to inaugurate its National Campaign Council ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Dickson disclosed that he met with the party’s presidential candidate, Peter Obi, former Secretary to the Government of the Federation Babachir Lawal, National Chairman Senator Moses Cleopas and members of the National Working Committee to discuss the party’s preparations.
He said the campaign council would coordinate the campaigns of all NDC candidates, from the presidential and National Assembly elections to governorship and state assembly contests.
Dickson added that consultations would continue ahead of the council’s scheduled unveiling and inauguration on Monday, saying the party intends to run a coordinated nationwide campaign.
