The Nigerian Correctional Service, NCoS, says custodial congestion, inadequate funding, obsolete workshop equipment, insufficient training infrastructure and shortages of qualified vocational instructors are challenges to effective rehabilitation and reintegration of inmates.
The NCoS Public Relations Officer, CSC Jane Osuji, said this in response to a question by the News Agency of Nigeria on the effectiveness of correctional facilities.
