The Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris, has expressed profound sadness over the death of prominent Niger State political figure, community leader and philanthropist, Ibrahim Wali, the Garkuwan Kontagora.
The Minister describes the late Wali as a close associate, trusted friend and distinguished son of Niger State whose life was marked by generosity, loyalty and an abiding commitment to the progress of his people.

Idris says the late Garkuwan Kontagora distinguished himself through years of service to his community, using his influence and resources to support people and advance causes that improved lives,as Garkuwan Kontagora, he carried his traditional responsibility with dignity and devotion.
The Minister said he will personally missed his friendship, his counsel, his warmth and his remarkable ability to build bridges across different segments of society.
Mohammed Idris extended his heartfelt condolences to the family of the deceased, the Sarkin Sudan of Kontagora and the entire Kontagoraa Emirate, as well as the government and people of Niger State.
