Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, senator representing Kogi central, has mourned Ibrahim Idris, former governor of Kogi state, describing his death as a significant loss to the state and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
Idris died in the United Kingdom on Sunday, September 20, 2026, at the age of 77.
In a condolence statement, Akpoti-Uduaghan described the late former governor as a prominent figure in Kogi’s political history, whose years in public service left an enduring mark on the state.
