Parliament Support Network (PSN), a civil society organisation (CSO), has rejected calls for the disqualification of Kingsley Chinda, the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate in Rivers state.
In a statement on Tuesday signed by Maxwell Idoko, its national president, the group described the campaign against Chinda’s candidacy as politically motivated.
The group said attempts to reopen questions around Chinda’s nomination should not be allowed to obscure what it described as his compliance with applicable electoral requirements.
