Benue State Governor Hyacinth Alia has reaffirmed his support for President Bola Tinubu and Vice President Kashim Shettima ahead of the 2027 general elections. Alia made the declaration on Saturday, October 10, 2026, at the All Progressives Congress (APC) North-Central mega rally in Lafia, Nasarawa State.
The governor commended Tinubu for his support to state governments, saying the assistance had enabled his administration to accelerate development and deliver projects for the people of Benue State.
The rally attracted First Lady Oluremi Tinubu, APC National Chairman Nentawe Yilwatda, Secretary to the Government of the Federation George Akume, governors, ministers, lawmakers, party officials and thousands of supporters from across the North-Central region.
Alia said APC governors and key stakeholders were committed to mobilising support for Tinubu, Shettima and other party candidates in 2027. The rally was part of the party’s efforts to strengthen its support base across the region ahead of the next general elections.
