Florence Ajimobi has formally commenced her duties as Nigeria’s Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Austria after presenting her Letters of Credence to Austrian Federal President Alexander Van der Bellen.
Ajimobi expressed appreciation to President Bola Tinubu for entrusting her with the diplomatic assignment, saying she accepted the responsibility with humility and a commitment to representing Nigeria with dignity and purpose.
She said Nigeria and Austria have maintained longstanding diplomatic relations, with opportunities to further strengthen cooperation in areas including trade and investment, innovation, sustainable development and people-to-people relations.
The ambassador said she looks forward to opening new areas of mutually beneficial cooperation and strengthening relations between both countries. She also pledged to serve the interests of Nigeria and Nigerians with dedication and honour.
