Zamfara State Governor Dauda Lawal has received the Daily Times Outstanding Governor Award for the North-West at the DTN@100 Times Heroes Awards in Abuja.
Lawal emerged as the recipient after an extensive nomination and public voting process in which he secured the highest number of votes in the category.
Chairman of the DTN@100 Heroes Awards Council, Bolaji Okusaga, said the governor was selected in recognition of his leadership, public service and contribution to national development.
Receiving the award, Lawal thanked the management and organising committee of Daily Times Nigeria, the Times Heroes Awards Council and Nigerians who supported his nomination.
He said the recognition reflected his administration’s commitment to promoting good governance and efficient public service in Zamfara State.
The DTN@100 Times Heroes Awards form part of Daily Times Nigeria’s centenary celebrations marking 100 years of journalism and service to Nigeria. Award recipients will also be featured in the 700-page Nigerian Grand Book, a commemorative record of personalities and institutions that have shaped Nigeria’s development.
