The Governing All Progressives Congress, APC, has formally written the Inspector General of Police to immediately effect arrest on Mr. Abayomi Hunye and carryout full scale investigation over his self parading title across various media blocks as the APC Governorship Candidate for Ogun State in the forthcoming 2027 general elections.
In a statement by the party, Mr. Abayomi Hunye was said to have been suspended from the APC on April 7, 2026, following a written petition from his Ward, Tube Ward, Ipokia Local Government Area. His suspension was ratified by the Ogun State Working Committee and formally communicated to the National Headquarters.
The party called on the Nigeria Police Force to Invite Mr. Abayomi for immediate questioning regarding the aforementioned infringements and probable commission of offences against Nigerian Laws and electoral act 2026 and insisted that Senator Adeola Solomon Olamilekan and
Balogun Kudirat Abiodun are the Governorship and Deputy Governorship candidates of the party in the State.
