The National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) has warned that five local government areas (LGAs) in Kwara state are at high risk of flooding during the 2026 rainy season.
The affected LGAs are Edu, Baruten, Kaiama, Moro and Patigi. Zubaida Umar, director-general of NEMA, spoke on Tuesday in Ilorin during the 2026 National Disaster Preparedness and Response Campaign (NPRC) stakeholders’ engagement.
