FATHER’S DAY: IGP COMMENDS SACRIFICE, LEADERSHIP AND NATION-BUILDING ROLE OF FATHERS

The Inspector-General of Police, IGP Olatunji Disu, has joined millions of Nigerians in celebrating Father’s Day, paying tribute to fathers across the country for their vital role in building strong families and a better nation.

In a message, the IGP praised fathers for their sacrifices, leadership, and unwavering commitment to raising responsible children and upholding family values.

He noted that fathers remain critical to promoting discipline, integrity, hard work, and patriotism, qualities essential for national development and social stability.

IGP Disu also specially recognised police officers who balance the demanding task of securing the nation with their responsibilities as fathers and role models at home.
The Police boss commended their dedication and sacrifices, despite spending long hours away from their families in service to the country.
As Nigerians mark this year’s Father’s Day, the IGP wished all fathers good health, wisdom, strength, and fulfilment, while urging citizens to honour and appreciate their enduring contributions to society.

He reaffirmed the commitment of the Nigeria Police Force to supporting family values, strengthening community partnerships, and promoting a safer and more prosperous Nigeria.
