Benue State Governor, Rev. Fr. Hyacinth Alia, has donated two coaster buses to the women wing of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Benue State.
The donation, which was reportedly made on Monday, June 15, 2026, is aimed at strengthening the activities of APC women in the state and easing their movement during party engagements, mobilisation exercises, meetings, and grassroots political activities.
The gesture is also seen as a major boost for women’s participation in politics, especially as women remain key players in community mobilisation, campaign organisation, voter engagement, and party structure building across the state.
Responding on behalf of the beneficiaries, the Benue APC State Women Leader, Helen Agaigbe, commended Governor Alia for the support and described the donation as a sign of recognition for the role women continue to play in the party.
Supporters say the buses will help improve coordination among APC women groups across Benue and make it easier for women leaders to reach members at the ward and local government levels.
