The grant was announced during her visit to Ado Ekiti, where she addressed women and supporters at the Pavilion as part of activities linked to her Renewed Hope Initiative.
According to the First Lady, each of the 2,000 selected women will receive ₦50,000 to support their businesses. She stressed that the money is not a loan but a direct support package to help women strengthen their small businesses and improve their livelihoods.
During the visit, Senator Tinubu also inaugurated an Information and Communication Technology Centre at Ekiti State University, Ado Ekiti, executed through the Renewed Hope Initiative.
The wife of Ekiti State Governor, Dr. Olayemi Oyebanji, thanked women in the state for their support and urged them to continue backing the current administration.
Governor Biodun Oyebanji also praised the First Lady’s interventions, describing them as evidence of her commitment to women’s welfare and grassroots empowerment.
The visit comes ahead of the Ekiti governorship election, with leaders in the state calling for continued support for the APC-led government.
