The President of the Nigerian Army Officers’ Wives Association, NAOWA, Dr Safiyyah Hassan Shaibu, has led a Sallah humanitarian outreach in Abuja, extending support to military families and beneficiaries during the festive season.
The outreach was held on Saturday, May 23, 2026, at the Guards Brigade Sports Complex, Aguiyi Ironsi Cantonment, Asokoro, Abuja.
As part of NAOWA’s humanitarian and welfare initiatives, relief materials and support packages were distributed to beneficiaries, including NASWA members and wives of fallen heroes.
Speaking during the event, Dr Shaibu said Sallah remains a season of sacrifice, love and generosity, stressing the importance of extending kindness to military communities and the wider society.
She noted that NAOWA would continue to promote humanitarian programmes that uplift lives, strengthen social welfare and encourage compassion across communities.
Dr Shaibu also urged NASWA members and the public to embrace empathy, peaceful coexistence and selfless service, especially during the festive period.
The event featured the distribution of welfare packages, goodwill interactions and group photographs, further highlighting NAOWA’s commitment to humanitarian service and community impact.
