Sule condemns killing of farmers in Nasarawa community, orders probe

Nasarawa State Governor, Engr. Abdullahi Sule, has condemned in strong terms the killing of innocent farmers by unknown assailants in Kwara Chiefdom of Keana Local Government Area, describing the incident as a senseless and reprehensible act of violence.

Governor Sule in a press Release signed by his chief press Secretary, Ibrahim Addra expressed deep sadness over the attack, extended his condolences to the families of the victims and the people of Keana LGA, assuring them that the perpetrators would be brought to justice.

He added that the governor spoke during a condolence visit to the Osoho of Olosoho, Dr. Umar Abubakar Apeshi, over the death of his mother.

“I have directed security agencies to immediately investigate this unfortunate incident and ensure that those responsible are arrested and prosecuted,” Sule said. He reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to safeguarding lives and property across the state, stressing that security remained a top priority of his government.

“Our commitment to the protection of lives and property of all citizens, regardless of tribe or community, is unshakable. We remain unrelenting in our collaboration with all stakeholders and security agencies to achieve peaceful coexistence in Nasarawa State,” the governor stated.

Governor Sule urged residents of the area to remain calm and law-abiding, while calling on citizens to cooperate with security agencies by providing useful information that could lead to the arrest of the attackers.

He also used the occasion to commiserate with the Osoho of Olosoho over the demise of his mother, praying for the repose of her soul.

“I pray that Almighty Allah grants her Aljannat Firdausi and gives the bereaved family the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss,” he said.
