In a significant step towards community development and empowerment, the Ribadu Media Centre (RMC) has collaborated with the Renewed Hope Initiative (RHI) to provide educational support and scholarships to over 1,000 individuals in Adamawa State. The partnership also saw the launch of critical infrastructure projects to address the pressing water needs of local communities.
The initiative, spearheaded by Mallam Ahmad Nuhu Ribadu (Esq.), the founder of RMC, was held in celebration of his birthday and that of Mrs. Remi Tinubu, Nigeria’s First Lady and the founder of RHI. The event marked the beginning of an extensive empowerment scheme and community support program designed to uplift the lives of residents in Yola North.
The educational support program, which took place at FADFATIS NEPA, opposite IQRA Academy in Yola, drew the presence of notable dignitaries, including All Progressives Congress (APC) party officials. In his speech, Mallam Ribadu expressed his family’s deep-rooted commitment to the cause of education. He also took the opportunity to thank Mrs. Tinubu for her continued support and generosity in the initiative.
“My family has always prioritized education,” said Mr. Ribadu. “It is a legacy we hold dear, and we are grateful to Mrs. Remi Tinubu for her efforts in renewing hope through this partnership.”
Beyond the educational support, the event was also marked by the official launch of the ‘Clean Water for Adamawa’ project, a groundbreaking initiative aimed at providing clean water to underserved communities. The first phase of the project involves the drilling of boreholes, construction of overhead tanks, and installation of water points in Kofan Alhaji Usman Jukum, Yola North. This project seeks to address the critical water shortages that have plagued the area for years.
Speaking at the launch, Mallam Ribadu highlighted the importance of the project for the well-being of the community, stating, “We are committed to renewing hope for Nigerians. Under the leadership of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and First Lady Mrs. Remi Tinubu, we will ensure every Nigerian’s hope is renewed for a brighter and greater Nigeria.”
Community representatives were present at the launch to express their heartfelt gratitude. A former council member of the ward, speaking on behalf of the community, acknowledged that the water project fulfilled a long-standing need. He praised Mallam Ribadu and his family for their unwavering dedication to the community, a tradition that spans generations.
The partnership between RMC and RHI has been lauded as a promising example of how public and private entities can collaborate to address the needs of local populations. With the dual focus on education and clean water access, the initiative is expected to have a lasting impact on the lives of Adamawa residents, providing them with the tools and resources to build a brighter future.
