Fahar, Mbewa, Wuyaku, and Kaulaha Communities Get Electricity After Nearly 20 Years

After nearly 20 years, four communities—Fahar,Mbewa, Wuyaku, and Kaulaha—in the Gombi Local Government Area of Adamaw State are seeing the realisation of their dreams of having electricity in their communities for their wellbeing, courtesy of the government of Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri. The project started during the administration of former Governor Boni Haruna but was abandoned.

Let’s see the importance of this development, free of politics or any other thinking outside of basic development.

Electricity is not just an essential lifeline for a quality life; it’s a fundamental factor for meaningful development and prosperity. Apart from providing a lead way to access basic amenities such as lighting for safety and security, including quality living, charging of phones and other electronics devices meant for rural living, refrigeration of vaccines and medicines, and energy efficiency, which will positively impact environmental protection, the banning of the unnecessary cutting of trees in the state is a good example. Rural electricity helps improve the overall quality of life in rural areas, especially communities in northern Nigeria and Africa at large.

In summary, rural electrification improves healthcare by preserving vaccines and medicine. It makes agriculture more efficient and productive through storage and irrigation. Provision of electricity in rural areas improves economic development; small businesses benefit from it, while small and medium-scale (SMS) industries pop up and productive jobs are created for youth and women. In fact, rural electrification brings modern communications closer to the people, as the presence of the national grid will attract mobile network providers to setup their masks to bring live telephone and internet services, thus communicating remote areas to the world.
Governor AHMADU Umaru Fintiri’s fulfilling his promise to the Fahar,Mbewa,Wuyaku, and Kaulaha communities in Gombi LGA will not only bridge the gap between the rural areas and the urban areas but has empowered and brought life to them. Electricity is one of the most essential things in life. Kudus to Governor Fintiri
