President Bola Tinubu has approved the appointment of five new Permanent Secretaries to fill existing vacancies and enhance leadership within the Federal Civil Service. The move is part of the administration’s ongoing commitment to strengthening public service delivery and upholding meritocracy. The newly appointed Permanent Secretaries are Ibrahim Abdulkarim Ozi for the Federal Capital Territory; Ezemama John Chidiebere from Imo State; Garba Abdul Sule Usman representing the North Central Geo-Political Zone; Mohammed Musa Ishiyaku for the North East Geo-Political Zone; and Ukaire Binyerem Chigbowu from the South East Geo-Political Zone. Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, Didi Walson-Jack, praised President Tinubu’s dedication to transparency and merit-based governance. She stated that the new appointments highlight the administration’s resolve to maintain a competent and results-driven public workforce ready to meet the nation’s needs.
