Reconstruction works on the strategic Jabbi-Lamba – Malabu – Konkol – Sorou – Belel Road, which links Adamawa State to the Republic of Cameroon, are advancing steadily, according to Hon. Barr. Aliyu Boya Wakili, Member of the House of Representatives representing Fufore/Song Federal Constituency.
In a progress update issued on Monday, Hon. Wakili announced that asphalt laying is currently ongoing at Section 5.09 of the project. He noted that the work is progressing smoothly, with attention being paid to quality standards—from site measurements to asphalt compaction.
“This critical route connects several rural communities and serves as a major artery for economic and social activities in the region,” Hon. Wakili said. “Once completed, the road will significantly boost transportation, open up trade with neighboring countries, and improve access to healthcare, education, and markets.”
The lawmaker reaffirmed his commitment to ensuring that key infrastructure projects in his constituency are not only initiated but also completed to standard.
“I urge constituents to continue supporting and monitoring these developments. Your feedback and cooperation remain vital to our collective progress,” he added.
Hon. Barr. Aliyu Boya Wakili also serves as Chairman of the House Committee on Police Institutions.
