Ethiopia has experienced a magnitude-5.8 earthquake near Abomsa and Amhara in the Afra region, near Addis Ababa.
The epicenter is at a depth of 10 kilometers, and researchers predict larger tremors. Thousands of residents have been evacuated and moved to temporary shelters. Mount Dofan Volcano in the Afar region has started erupting, and large cracks in the ground have appeared.
