In April, a massive blackout paralyzed Spain and Portugal for hours. A new report has revealed the cause.

Spanish investigators on Tuesday released a report showing that a power surge caused an hours-long blackout on the Iberian peninsula in late April.
The power surge triggered a chain reaction of protective shutdowns, Spanish Deputy Prime Minister and Environment Minister Sara Aagesen said in Madrid.
She added there were no indications of a cyberattack having caused the blackout.
