A high-powered delegation of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has paid a condolence visit to the party’s National Vice Chairman (Northeast), Comrade Mustapha Salihu PhD, following the death of his elder brother, Engr. Salihu Muhammad Barde, who passed away in the early hours of Saturday, 30th August 2025, in Bauchi.
The delegation was led by the Deputy National Chairman (North), Dr. Ali Bukar Dalori, and included the National Auditor, Senator Abubakar Maikafi, and the Director of Election Management at the APC National Secretariat, Mallam Tasiu Mohammed. The Borno and Bauchi States Deputy Governors, Umar Usman Kadafur, and Alhaji Awwal Jatau also joined the delegation, representing the Government and people of Borno and Bauchi States.
During the visit, the delegation expressed the heartfelt condolences of the APC family to Comrade Mustapha Salihu and prayed for the repose of the soul of the deceased. They described the late Engr. Barde as a humble, dedicated, and community-spirited individual whose contributions to society will be remembered.
In a related development, the APC Bauchi State Executive Committee, led by the State Chairman, Alhaji Mohammed Hassan Tilde, also visited the bereaved family to commiserate with Comrade Salihu. They were joined by the Chief of Staff to the Gombe State Governor, Alhaji Abubakar Inuwa Kari, and other dignitaries who equally offered prayers for the deceased and strength for the family to bear the loss.
The visits underscore the solidarity and unity within the APC family, as leaders across the Northeast continue to stand by Comrade Mustapha Salihu in this moment of grief.
