FCT Minister Nyesom Wike has declared the Federal Capital Territory secured for President Bola Tinubu’s 2027 re-election bid, claiming APC and PDP stakeholders are joining forces to mobilise support across the territory.
Wike made the statement in Abuja on Wednesday during a meeting with political leaders, traditional rulers, women and youth groups in the Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC).
He praised Tinubu’s administration for infrastructure projects, including the Apo-Karshi Road, and defended fuel subsidy removal as a difficult but necessary economic decision. He also urged voters, particularly young people, to support Tinubu and APC candidates.
FCT APC Chairman Ishaku Yamawo and FCT PDP Chairman Mohammed Dogara both expressed support for the cross-party alliance. Wike said the comprehensive campaign council would be inaugurated next week, with stakeholders pledging to mobilise voters ahead of the 2027 election.
