Duro Meseko, the Deputy National Publicity Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has described President Bola Ahmed Tinubu as a magician, saying his administration has been able to stabilise various sectors of the Nigerian economy within three years.
Speaking in an interview with NTA on Thursday October 15, 2026, Meseko said the achievements recorded by the Tinubu administration were remarkable, insisting that his assessment was not because he belongs to the ruling party.
Meseko stated that Nigeria was in a difficult situation before Tinubu assumed office but said the President had made efforts to stabilise different sectors of the economy since taking over in 2023.
He added that the administration’s performance could be examined sector by sector to understand the changes recorded within its first three years in office.
In Meseko’s words: “I can start sector by sector of what this administration has been able to achieve within the space of three years. It’s incredible. It’s not because I’m an APC member. Sometimes, I see the President as a magician. This was a country that was virtually gone before he assumed office, but now he’s been able to stabilise the various sectors of the economy.”
