The National Chairman of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), Senator Moses Cleopas Zuwoghe, has disclosed that consultations with Peter Obi and Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso are responsible for the delay in finalising appointments to the party’s presidential campaign council ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Cleopas explained that although the party had already developed a proposed structure for the campaign council, it would not complete the appointment process without obtaining input from Obi and Kwankwaso, who are expected to lead the party’s presidential ticket.
He made this known during a press conference following a two-day meeting of the NDC’s National Working Committee (NWC), as reported by SYMFONI. The briefing provided an opportunity for the party chairman to clarify the state of its preparations and address questions surrounding the composition of its presidential campaign team.
