Former Edo State Governor Adams Oshiomhole has questioned Peter Obi’s claim that he saved millions of dollars during his tenure as governor of Anambra State, arguing that state allocations were paid in naira.

During a television interview on Symfoni TV, Oshiomhole challenged the former Anambra governor’s financial record and questioned how he could have accumulated dollar savings from funds received through the Federation Account.

Oshiomhole said governors had previously sought to receive their allocations in dollars because of differences between official and market exchange rates, but the Federal Government insisted on distributing funds in naira.
