Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde has been conferred with the chieftaincy title of Aare Asoludero of Ibarapaland by the Eleruwa of Eruwa, HRM Oba Samuel Adebayo Agbegbola Ajobo Olurin I.
Makinde received the title during the ceremony marking the first anniversary of the monarch’s coronation.
The governor expressed appreciation to the traditional council in Ibarapa for the honour and assured residents that his administration would complete the ongoing reconstruction of the 48-kilometre Ido-Eruwa Road.
He also said the Oyo State Agribusiness Transformation Centre in Eruwa, for which a groundbreaking ceremony has already been held, will commence operations before the end of his administration.
