Borno State Governor, Babagana Umara Zulum, has congratulated Vice President Kashim Shettima on his 60th birthday.
In a statement personally signed, Governor Zulum commends the Vice President for opting for a low-key celebration, describing the decision as a reflection of his humility, selflessness and commitment to national development.
The Governor says although the Vice President had appealed against elaborate celebrations, the occasion is too important for the people of Borno to ignore, given the VP’s contributions to the state and the nation.
Governor Zulum describes Shettima’s 60th birthday as an opportunity to reflect on his sacrifices for democracy and his contributions to the development of Borno State and Nigeria.
He also commends the Vice President’s courage, wisdom and commitment to democratic principles, noting that his record of service continues to inspire efforts toward improving the lives of the people.
Governor Zulum wishes Shettima continued good health, happiness and greater accomplishments, while praying for divine guidance and wisdom as he contributes to Nigeria’s development.
