Some prominent members of the New Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) in Kano State, who are reportedly loyal to former governor candidate Nasiru Yusuf Gawuna, may be considering a return to the All Progressives Congress (APC).
The development reportedly followed a recent solidarity visit to Kano State Governor Abba Yusuf, where the group was said to have discussed political developments in the state.
If the planned defection goes ahead, it could further reshape the political landscape in Kano ahead of the 2027 general elections.
However, the members’ reported plans to rejoin the APC have not been formally confirmed, and political discussions may still be ongoing.
