According to a report by The Nation on Monday, August 24, 2026, Senator Abdul’Aziz Yari, the Director-General of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Campaign Council, has reaffirmed the ruling party’s commitment to fulfilling the promises it made to Nigerians during its electioneering campaign.

Yari gave the assurance after arriving at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja, yesterday, following an overseas trip.

His remarks centred on the party’s stated determination to remain committed to the pledges it presented to the electorate during its campaign activities.

Yari said the APC would continue to stand by the commitments it made to voters as the party intensifies preparations and activities in support of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s bid for a second term in office.

He maintained that the promises made to Nigerians should not be regarded merely as campaign statements but as commitments that the party intends to honour.

His comments came as the ruling party continues to build momentum around Tinubu’s second-term ambition.

The APC Presidential Campaign Council Director-General stressed that keeping faith with campaign pledges remained an important principle of the ruling party.

According to him, the party would not abandon the commitments it made while seeking the support and votes of Nigerians.

He said the APC’s position was that promises made to the electorate should be followed by efforts to ensure their fulfilment, particularly as the party continues its political activities.

Speaking further after his arrival in Abuja, Yari assured APC supporters that the party would remain committed to the pledges made during its campaign.

He said the ruling party would continue working towards fulfilling the commitments it presented to Nigerians.

The assurance was also linked to the ongoing efforts to strengthen support for President Tinubu’s second-term bid and maintain the political momentum surrounding the administration and the party.

Yari’s statement focused on the relationship between political promises and the responsibility of the APC to fulfil the commitments made to the electorate.

He reiterated that the party’s approach was based on remaining faithful to the promises presented during its campaign.

His position was that the ruling party would continue to uphold those commitments as it moves forward with its political activities and efforts to consolidate support among its supporters.

The APC Presidential Campaign Council chief further emphasised that fidelity to campaign promises was central to the identity and approach of the ruling party.

He maintained that the party’s commitment to its pledges remained a significant part of its political engagement with Nigerians.

Yari’s assurance was made while speaking to supporters and other individuals following his return to Abuja from his overseas trip.

“I want to assure Nigerians that whatever promise we make during campaign, we shall keep to our promise,” Yari said.
