Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara has commissioned the reconstructed 19.79-kilometre Buguma–Degema–Abonnema Road, describing the project as a major milestone for communities across the Kalabari Kingdom.
Fubara said the road, which previously posed significant difficulties for commuters, has been transformed into a modern route designed to improve movement, connect communities and create new economic opportunities.
The governor expressed gratitude to God and the people of Rivers State, saying the completion of the project demonstrates his administration’s commitment to infrastructure development across the state.
He added that work would continue on the Trans-Kalabari Road and other infrastructure projects across Rivers State.
