Hundreds of followers of the Tijjaniyya Movement converged on the Government House, Birnin Kebbi, Sunday, in celebration of the Maulud An-Nabiyyi with Governor Nasir Idris, who urged them to use the occasion to imbibe the path of the Noble Prophet in words and deeds.
Comrade Idris commended them for their show of love to the Noble Prophet Muhammad, SAW, while appealing to the Darika adherents to sustain prayers for peace, security and success.
“I sincerely commend you for using religion to strengthen societal values. You should continue to supplicate to God in view of the efficacy of prayers for positive impact.
“Your prayers facilitated our success in 2023 and by God’s providence , similar prayers will usher in victory for us in 2027.
“My administration will sustain supporting you in carrying out your onerous task of entrenching good virtues and moral values into the fabric of the society.
“As an antecedent of this administration of compassion and benevolence, I am donating N50 million for your welfare.
“I’m highly impressed and delighted about this overwhelming crowd in celebration of the Maulud and expressing solidarity to me and the government,” Gov Idris stated.
