Nigeria has recorded another remarkable achievement on the global stage after three Nigerian students won gold medals at the 2026 International STEM Olympiad held in Rome, Italy.
Among the standout performers, Don Anele Munachimso Marvelous won two gold medals, including Gold in Science, while Chimdiebube Onwubiko claimed Gold in Mathematics. Egejurum Onyedikachi Ethan also made the country proud by winning Gold in the Primary Mathematics category.
The students’ outstanding performance has been widely praised as a testament to the talent, dedication and academic excellence of young Nigerians. Their success further strengthens Nigeria’s growing reputation in international science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) competitions.
