The Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Prof. Joash Ojo Amupitan (SAN), has conducted inspection visits to Ido/Osi and Oye Ekiti Local Government Areas as part of preparations for the forthcoming Ekiti State governorship election.
The INEC chairman, accompanied by National Commissioners and other senior officials of the commission, assessed the level of readiness at the local government offices ahead of the polls.
During the inspection, the team evaluated the quantity and condition of sensitive and non-sensitive electoral materials already received, while also reviewing the logistical and administrative arrangements being put in place for election day.
According to the commission, the exercise forms part of INEC’s routine pre-election activities and strategic measures aimed at ensuring smooth coordination, operational efficiency, and credible conduct of the election.
The visit also provided an opportunity for the INEC chairman and his team to interact with field officers and monitor firsthand the progress made in key areas of election planning and deployment.
