At the Africa CEO Forum in Rwanda, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu reiterated his dedication to enhancing Nigeria’s economic reforms, highlighting the importance of ongoing effort and flexibility in governance.

In an interview broadcast by TVC News on YouTube, the president was questioned about his priorities for the first two years of a possible second term.

Tinubu responded by emphasizing that his strategy would focus on consistent action and perseverance.

“Do more work,” he said, underscoring his belief that leadership requires constant engagement with emerging challenges.

He emphasized that governance requires constant vigilance, stating, “There are more challenges ahead. The world won’t pause for anyone.”

He believes that governments need to be proactive and forward-looking to stay aligned with global changes.

The president also highlighted the significance of innovation and intellectual depth in leadership.

“You must keep researching and reevaluating,” he said, underlining the importance of frequently reassessing policies and strategies.

Additionally, he advocated for fostering a culture of inquiry within government, urging leaders to “stimulate your intellectual curiosity as a government” to find solutions that serve the public good.

Tinubu elaborated on the core principles that guide his administration.

He stated, “The philosophy I bring to governance is the belief that a transformative leader’s key trait is the capacity to make decisions.”

He stressed that successful leadership requires prompt and resolute action, noting that leaders must “act when necessary for the benefit of the people.
