The Bola Ahmed Tinubu Ideological Group (BAT-IG) has organised a sensitisation, orientation, and training programme in Ilorin, the Kwara State capital, for members of the Military and Paramilitary Wives, Kwara State Chapter.
In a statement on Monday signed by Arabinrin Aderonke, Director of Media and Communication, BAT-IG, the programme, which also featured the All Progressives Congress (APC) e-registration exercise and BAT-HOME-CELL registration, was aimed at strengthening grassroots political mobilisation ahead of forthcoming political engagements.
Speaking at the event, the National Women Leader of the Military and Paramilitary Group, Mrs Gloria Luka, said the sensitisation exercise was designed to properly orient members on the values, structure, and code of conduct of the Bola Ahmed Tinubu Ideological Movement. She noted that participants were also introduced to the group’s handbook to ensure uniform understanding of its principles and operational guidelines.
Mrs Luka described President Bola Ahmed Tinubu as a political institution built on years of leadership experience, strategic vision, and people-centred governance. According to her, the ideology associated with the President is anchored on empowerment, inclusiveness, national cohesion, and sustainable development.
She urged participants interested in joining partisan politics to take advantage of the ongoing nationwide APC e-registration exercise by registering at their respective polling units. She stressed that active participation at the grassroots remains critical to strengthening democratic institutions and ensuring effective citizen representation. The national women leader also encouraged members to establish BAT-HOME-CELL structures within their communities. She explained that the initiative is aimed at enhancing grassroots engagement, facilitating the dissemination of political ideology, and aligning citizens with government policies and programmes at the local, state, and federal levels.
According to organisers, the event recorded a turnout of over 5,000 participants, reflecting growing interest in political education and mobilisation among women associated with military and paramilitary communities in the state.
The Bola Ahmed Tinubu Ideological Group is a political and ideological movement committed to promoting the vision, values, and leadership philosophy of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. The group focuses on political education, image branding, policy advocacy, conflict resolution, and leadership development.
It is also involved in training and mentoring individuals expected to serve as advocates of the President’s ideology while countering misinformation and misrepresentation of government policies and achievements.
The Ilorin programme forms part of BAT-IG’s broader nationwide engagement strategy aimed at deepening political awareness and strengthening grassroots participation across the country.
