NNPCL slashes fuel price second time in less than one week

The Nigerian Petroleum Company Limited on Thursday, reduced the pump price of premium motor spirit for the second time in less than one week.

DAILY POST correspondent monitored NNPCL retail outlets in Abuja and gathered that the state-owned oil firm has reduced its petrol price to N920 per liter, down from N930.

This means that NNPCL adjusted its fuel retail price by N10 per liter.

The new petrol price was implemented in NNPCL filling stations in Gwarimpa, Kubwa Expressway, and Wuse Zone 4, Abuja, on Thursday.

DAILY POST reports that NNPCL had earlier slashed its petrol price on November 28, 2025, by 15 per liter.

The spokesperson of the Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria, Chinedu Ukadike, told DAILY POST that fuel prices would continue to drop amid competition among major players in the country’s downstream sector oil sector.
